Will AI replace humanity? Darwinism vs. Technohumanism.

Is AI really coming to replace humanity?

Or have we misunderstood what technology actually is?

In this video, I explore artificial intelligence from a Christian perspective. Many discussions about AI are built on the idea of man versus machine: human intelligence against artificial intelligence, human creativity against machine creativity.

But what if AI is not humanity’s rival, but one more tool in the long story of human beings expanding their God-given abilities?

From a Christian perspective, technology is not the opposite of humanity. It is an expression of humanity. Man was created in the image of God as a responsible being, called to think, create, cultivate, guard, study, and develop creation.

At the same time, the Christian faith reminds us that technology is not mankind’s savior. It can help us see farther, live longer, think more efficiently, and process information in new ways, but it cannot forgive sins, heal the wound of the Fall, or restore man’s relationship with God.

That is why Christian hope is neither technopessimism nor technoutopianism.

Our hope is in Christ.

Perhaps the most important question in the age of AI is not how intelligent machines will become, but how wise we human beings will grow.
